Adult Developmental Homes (ADH)

Pioneering pathways to independence.

Adult Developmental Home (ADH) providers are in high demand, are a critical part of a specialized support model, that offers a broad array of support services that promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being of  adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, cerebral palsy, autism, and other developmental disabilities in a family home setting.

ADHs offer a personalized and supportive living environment for individuals with developmental disabilities. By providing a warm and welcoming home, ADHs offer numerous benefits, including:

  • Individualized care: ADHs tailor their services to meet the unique needs of each member ensuring they receive the support they require to thrive in areas such as personal care, communication, and daily living activities.
  • Community: Living in an ADH provides opportunities for social interaction, friendships, and a family atmosphere.
  • Enhanced independence: With the support of ADH providers, individuals can develop essential life skills and gain greater independence in their daily routines.
  • A safe and nurturing environment: ADHs prioritize the safety and well-being of their members, providing a comfortable and supportive atmosphere.

By choosing to live in an ADH, people with developmental disabilities experience a fulfilling and enriching lifestyle, surrounded by caring individuals who support their growth and development.

Becoming an ADH Provider

Are you looking for a fulfilling way to make a difference in someone’s life? Consider opening your home to an adult with disabilities and becoming an ADH provider. By opening your home, you’ll not only make a positive impact on someone’s life but also experience the personal rewards of making a difference. You’ll play a part in a person with developmental disability’s life by participating and supporting their goals.

  • Working with families and guardians, Arizona’s Division of Developmental Disabilities works with TRF to match members with ADH providers to ensure each person receives the specialized care and support they need to thrive. TRF licensing specialists assist families in applying for and maintaining a License to care for adults with developmental disabilities in their homes. ADH Providers are an important part of the TRF family and receive monthly financial reimbursement for Room & Board and Habilitation.
